Over many years, my sense of Self has gradually snuck up on me (the proverbial “thief in the night”). Early on I would catch a glimpse here or there of my timeless Essence with long periods of unconsciousness in between. But it is dawning on me, that no matter where or when I am in 3D, I Am always here now observing it all. This constancy of my Self in the endless present moment has shifted my paradigm so strongly, that the experience that “I Am” dominates regardless of when or where in the world I am.
From this vantage point and compared to the substantiality and constancy of my essential Self, the world appears as a fleeting moment, a distant flickering and murmuring impermanence, almost as if by comparison, it doesn’t really exist.
Although this experience conveys a sense of immense freedom and renewal, evolution marches on, and has gradually given rise to the urge for Oneness rather than mere freedom from the finite world. Duality is just too much weight…there needs to be merely One, which is the grander freedom.
So now my personal mission spontaneously turns to the discovery of how the two become One.
